Instant Gratification, Long Term Disaster

No kidding. We live in a world that's convinced that good things are not worth waiting for.

But we're wrong. Good things are worth waiting for. And not waiting for them can result in disaster.

That's right. No joke. You may think spamming people is worthwhile, because it might give you 'instant revenue'. But in the long run, it will destroy your business.

Let's do a fun exercise. Create a document listing all the online businesses which have spammed you in the last month. Store the date, and the web address included in the spam. Now wait a few months (five or six). Open that document, and click on the web links. What do you find?

Yep...that's right. The majority of those businesses are no longer functioning!

Do you think that is a coincidence? I assure you, it's not! These firms have invested their time and effort into a dead-end marketing technique. And they paid the price.

"But that won't happen to me, because I have a good product!" Let's hope your right. But ask yourself this question: If I have a product that's worth something, do I really want to give people the impression that I'm a fly-by-night operation that won't be around to support my product six months from now?
